- you're not broken
you're not broken
(you're ghosting your creativity)
If you’ve been stuck in your head lately,
if creating feels more like pressure than pleasure,
this is for you.
I’ve been there too. That space where your ideas pile up but don’t go anywhere.
Where you want to show up, express something and make progress…
but you keep freezing, doubting, and ghosting your own potential.
Thoughts like:
“I just need to be more disciplined.”
“Why do I keep messing this up?”
“Maybe I’m not made for this after all.”
you’re not lazy.
you’re not broken.
you’re not late.
You might just be trying to create from the wrong place.
There’s something I’ve come to realize over the years.
There are two main energies we create from:
The wounded creator and the wonderer creator.
The wounded creator is driven by fear —
Fear of not being good enough.
Fear of wasting time.
Fear of being seen… and misunderstood.
This version of you learned early on that creativity wasn’t always safe.
Maybe you were judged too quickly. Maybe you were told to be more practical.
Maybe someone laughed, ignored, or compared what you made.
So now, you overthink.
You hold back.
You try to do everything perfectly — or not at all.
How familiar is this to you?
It’s an exhausting way to live. And it’s not your fault.
But it doesn’t have to be your future.
Because there’s another part of you: the wonderer.
Still in there, waiting for space.
The wonderer is curious. Playful. Open.
They create not to prove anything but to feel something.
To follow the spark. To explore.
They’re not obsessed with outcomes.
They just want to feel connected again. To their own process, to their own voice.
You don’t have to fix yourself to get there.
You just need to reconnect. Gently. Honestly. Consistently.
That’s why I made this: A Free 7-day Creative Journaling Challenge : a no-pressure way to get out of your head and back into your creative wonderer identity.
Each day, you’ll get one short prompt. Nothing overwhelming.
Something to explore. To feel. To move something inside you.
You don’t need to be a “writer.” You don’t need to post anything.
You just need a few quiet minutes… and a pen. Or a keyboard.
Your creativity was never the problem.
You just needed space to hear it again.
If this feels like something you need, I’d love to have you in it.

Thanks for reading.
And hey, you’re doing better than you think.
Enjoy your weekend,
