are you creating from fear or freedom?

the hidden reason why you're stuck

There are two versions of you.

The one who creates freely, from curiosity, passion and genuine excitement… and the one who second-guesses everything, trying to make it “perfect,” worrying about what people will think, or if it’s even good enough to share.

We’ve all been there. I know I have.

Some days, ideas flow perfectly. Other days, you’re stuck in your head, overthinking, comparing, feeling like maybe you should just wait until you have it all figured out.

You don’t need to have it all figured out.

Look at this for a second.
Maybe you’ll see yourself in it:

Creativity, at its core, isn’t about doing it right. It’s about trusting yourself enough to explore. To try. To fail. To put something out there even when you’re unsure.

But most people get stuck before they even start. Why? Because fear has a way of disguising itself as logic. It whispers things like:

❌ “You need a clear plan before you begin.”
❌ “If it’s not perfect, don’t even start.”
“People will judge you.”

And suddenly, what could have been a fun, exciting, creative process becomes… well, another thing to stress about.

the 3 stages of creative consciousness

I’ve been thinking a lot about what actually happens when we feel stuck, and the truth is—it’s not just about talent or inspiration.

At any given moment, we’re operating from one of three creative mindsets:

1️⃣ The Victim Mindset – This is where fear wins. It’s where you tell yourself you’re not good enough, the industry is too crowded, or that creativity just “isn’t working” for you. It’s where doubt, perfectionism, and comparison run wild. We all end up here sometimes—the trick is not to stay.

2️⃣ The Self-Empowerment Mindset – This is where the shift happens. You start recognizing your blocks instead of letting them control you. You acknowledge that fear will always exist, but don’t let it drive. You create anyway. You experiment. You make mistakes and keep going. You build the confidence that only comes from doing.

3️⃣ Creative Bliss – This is the sweet spot. You stop creating for external validation and do it because it feels right. You trust yourself. You explore. You enjoy the process again.

The goal isn’t to be in creative bliss all the time (that’s impossible). The goal is to notice when you’re slipping into fear, shift into self-empowerment, and build habits that make flow more likely.

And that’s exactly what I want to help you do.
